Removal of organic and inorganic deposits
Cleaning of Organic (Asphaltenes and Paraffins) and Inorganic (Calcium Carbonate, Sulfates, etc.) Deposits from the Face of the Formation and Tubulars of the Production Completion, through the use of mechanical methods such as Thru Tubing cutters or scrapers or using methods chemicals such as pumping weak acids and organic solvents.
Abrasive drilling (sand jetting)
In this application, fine sand is pumped together with a support agent as a viscous pill, positioning the CT according to the desired depth with a specialized tool that consists of a carrier or Jet Sub that carries abrasion-resistant tungsten carbide nozzles with holes. small (generally 1/8”) in order to make punches or holes in Casing, Cement and Formation and put the well into production.
Induction of fluids with nitrogen
Circulating gaseous Nitrogen through the Coiled Tubing generates the displacement towards the surface of liquid formation and completion fluids, in turn reducing the hydrostatic pressure generated by the fluid column of the well. Once the required draw down is generated the well is able to flow naturally to surface.
Grinding of solids and plugs
Through the use of thru tubing tools (oscillators, accelerators), high-torque downhole motors and specialized bits) it is possible to grind a wide range of metals, plugs, cement and consolidated solids found in the production completion or in the open hole. .
Fishing and thru tubing operations
Due to a higher pulling capacity (Pull) than that of the Conventional Guaya (Slick Line – Braided Line), and the use of mechanical-hydraulic fishing and setting tools (such as Overshots, Harpoons, Setting/Selective/Running Tools ), the CT is an effective method for the recovery and setting of mechanical devices of the production completion such as: Bridge Plugs, Packers, Standing Valves, Jet Pump, Flexible Tubing, Electric Cable or Fine Wire, light strings of Guns and Tools of Thru Tubing left in the well.
Control and killing of wells
Thanks to the deployment capacity of Coiled Tubing in live wells (Flowing Hydrocarbons to the surface - In production), flexible tubing is positioned as an effective method for control and killing of said wells, through the pumping of killing fluids (Brines, Sludge and Control Gels), with the aim of being able to carry out subsequent Workover interventions.
Static and dynamic memorized records
Thanks to the ease of deployment of the Coiled Tubing in highly deviated and horizontal wells, and that present high production parameters (Pressure and Temperature), CT is one of the most appropriate means to carry out memorized records, by deploying a string of Logging (which may include: density, pressure, temperature, Gamma-Ray and CCL sensors) with the purpose of analyzing different parameters of the reservoir and the well.
Sand and solids cleaning
We are experts in this operation thanks to the hundreds of jobs carried out, we offer different alternatives (hydraulic cleaning, commingled, with downhole motor and thru tubing tools) to meet the objective of removing the consolidated fines and solids from the well.
Opening and closing of sliding sleeves
The use of Coiled Tubing units in conjunction with Thru Tubing tools activated hydraulically and by tension-compression (Shifting Tools, Accelerators) that have a set of wedges allows the opening and closing of sliding sleeves located in the production tubing.
Speed string and gas lift installations
This technique consists of positioning and anchoring a coiled tubing string at a desired depth using a Support Reel (Spool CT Hanger) that holds the CT in position thanks to a set of wedges and polymeric seals. Said String has a special configuration of Thru Tubing tools at the tip that allow both Gas Injection to improve the production of the well, and to allow the production hydrocarbons to flow internally thanks to the injection of fluids in the annular space reduced by the same string.
Remedial cementation and abandonment plugs
Our Coiled Tubing units offer a fast and efficient alternative for the definitive abandonment of wells by balancing cement plugs, complying with the regulations established by the ANH.
Matrix stimulations and acidifications
Acid fluids, solvents and other types of chemical systems can be pumped safely and quickly through flexible tubing to improve formation permeability (Formation Damage Dissolution: Skin) and near wellbore in a matrix regime ( Without fracturing the formation).
Zonal isolation by packing thru tubing
Using our Coiled Tubing units, packages or plugs can be lowered through the production tubing to isolate zones.
Which allows: control water zones, isolate specific intervals within the well, provide a platform to balance cement.
